Clean cities are quickly becoming a phrase that many are looking for. Nobody wants to live in a community where there’s trash always on the ground or your property is disrespected by others.
Thankfully, Alberta has its fair share of clean areas! These are the cleanest cities in all of Alberta, and that is why this cleanliness is important.
Why Clean Cities Matter
Having a clean city speaks so much more about the people that live there. Cleanliness allows people to focus on everything else in their life rather than worrying about the amount of trash on the street. This improves property values, keeps the neighborhoods and streets looking fresh, and promotes the idea of spending more time outside to stay active.
1- Moncton
This smaller area has one of the highest rated cleanliness and air cleanliness ratings in the entire country. Although this area can be seen as having it easier since it’s so small, residents put in a real effort to try and keep this city as nice as possible.
This means fighting back against pollution of any kind, keeping garbage out of the streets, and working to keep lawns looking fresh year-round. Moncton is a fantastic area for anyone who wants to see a pristine city.
2- Calgary
When you’re looking at Calgary homes for sale, you may be stunned at how clear and beautiful every street and lawn is. This is thanks to a full-time effort by the city to keep up the reputation Calgary has had since it won the ‘cleanest city’ prize in 2013! Calgary works to keep its city clean which lifts property values and helps keep the spirits of locals higher. This is especially important for this city since it functions as the oil capital of Canada.
3- Gibbons
Gibbons takes having the city clean so seriously that they’re almost always looking for more sanitation workers in this area. This means keeping trash out of the streets and keeping properties in ship shape. Gibbons takes this especially seriously during the winter and works hard to save as much snow off of the roads and public spaces as possible.
What Cities to Avoid
Although these cleaner cities are fantastic, there are some that don’t come out so shiny on the other side. Unfortunately, one of these cities is Edmonton! Although this city is popular as a progressive and more eco-friendly place to live, it does have some sanitation issues.
The subway system often smells of urine because of the large number of homeless individuals and a severe lack of public restrooms for people to relieve themselves in. There’s always litter or garbage in the streets, and there are plenty of areas that won’t feel sanitary when you arrive. Although this city is beautiful and wonderful at times, it’s not a clear city.
Alberta is a Dream Come True
Alberta has a little bit of excitement for everyone, so it’s a good idea to move out here as soon as possible! Consider checking out some of these clean and beautiful cities soon.
